Tziporah is the new kid in Town. She's going to the Bais Yaakov high school and is eager to be as popular there as she was in her old school. With only two friends, one popular and one suddenly stand-offish, Tziporah tries everything she can to show her new friends she can be cool, often with hilarious and disastrous results, like buying boxes of what she thought was delicious chocolate only to find they're bitter. I think this is a great book, it reminds me of I Love Lucy. The characters and plot are really nice. I recommend it for anyone who likes a good comedy.

Listing: Casual Encounters Review

Listing: Casual Encounters
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Lee is newly divorced. He decides to answer some online personal ads for casual encounters. Lee is bisexual, and his encounters are with men, women, couples, and groups. There's even a pair of sisters. He gets more adventurous as the book goes on, until the final chapter, in which his sexual adventures become too much even for him.
This book is ideal for readers who enjoy m/m/f fiction, men who are bisexual or bi-curious (at least in their reading tastes), and women who like their men bisexual or bi-curious. The lust level is high here. The sex is explicit and ranges from the merely adventurous to the truly bizarre. Readers who are easily offended by unorthodox and/or illegal sexual acts should avoid the final two chapters. Overall, though, this book provides more thrills than chills, as Lee acts out fantasies from the truck stop encounter to deflowering an anal virgin.

Blank Check: The Pentagon's Black Budget Review

Blank Check: The Pentagon's Black Budget
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Blank Check is a meticulously researched and chilling account of how the Cold War led the nation into a frenzy of spending based on fear and propaganda. The book spans 40 years of government development and National crises from the viewpoint of a checkbook. However, the fact that the book was published before the fall of the Soviet Union means that, to a modern reader, the stories told are a frightening look at times gone by rather than a relevant commentary on modern life. Also, with no central character to latch onto the book, while conscience stirring, is not necessarily compelling. That said, revelations in this book about the government's outright violation of the constitution in the name of National Security still have the ability to leave a reader appalled.

I have just finished reading the book Gassed in the Gulf and it is the only one that I have found that telles like it happened. I do not know where the person from Ohio was but I was in the Gulf 90-91. Even the DOD said that it was not a sonic boom over our camp at Al Jubyl. Not when within 20 seconds of the explosion your face goes numb (Page 73 of book that was me, Fred Willoughby The book is right on what happened. It is well told andd the CIA and DOD are still doing all they can to keep this from becoming a big seller. It should be mandatory reading for everyone thinking about going into the service. Really enjoyed the book. Thank you Pat Eddington for trying to help us Vets.

In todays day and age we are so busy with our lives, our "idols" our treasures those of us who are believers in Christ might have the fleeting idea to: compile, systematically, things we find in the Bile. Things like: the proverbs organized by category, or how about all the prophecies concerning Jesus and their fulfillment, or even prophecies in general, or all the utterances of angels by name, or chronological interwoven Gospels, or oh my goodness, I could go on and on.
We may have said: "I would like to do that or organize these types of things"....well because they had more time and MUCH more seriousness, these theologians have done it for us.
An amazing and brilliant compilation of Bible information...and the photo section is truly a stunner to boot. Old-timey photo's of the near East.....What a treasure, what a jewel.

Almost Highly Classified Volume 1 (v. 1) Review

Almost Highly Classified Volume 1 (v. 1)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Another funny comedic book by JTK about an inept government agency that specializes in solving a bunch of myths and mysteries like the lockness monster or bigfoot. The story begins when the agency is relocated to a dilapidated bar, employs a woman with amnesia, and serves its first customers, being three heavy bikers, milk. The story is chocked-filled with funny references to American pop culture. It follows a main plot and not just aimless short stories like some other comedic manga. The agents led by, Tom Anjery, have a familar cast of characters from JTK's previous work, Hotel California. However, they only retain their appearances and not their personailties. They are diverse enough to create a funny, but interesting motely crew. The artwork is simplistic and linear which suits the comical nature of the story. It is an easy read from panel to panel and it's in COLOR!! One of the few manwha that's in color. The simplistic color schemes gives story rich whimisical atomosphere. If you are looking to laugh or even smile a little, then this is the book, or at least check out a free sample at netcomics.com

Riotous results ensue when the Almost Highly Classified team members have to settle in a remote beachside village! Tom Anjery, Vice-Chief of the Almost Highly Classified team at GIS (Global Intelligence Services), receives an order to relocate his unit's office and run it independent of home base, on account of budget cuts. The team gets its new digs in a far-off village, but to appropriate the operational funds on their own, they decide they'll all hold two jobs. With his confidants Jay Biel, Warren X, and Louis Legstrong, Tom sets up a bar (naturally) on the first floor and an office on the 2nd floor of their new building--and then barely manages either one! The neighbors don't seem at all pleased... and that's even before the Baywatch team patrolling the nearby beach casts a suspicious eye on the undercover operatives. With more than a few problems waiting for them, the Almost Highly Classified team is facing an almost highly classified disaster.

I had seen the original book, which was a small pocket-sized compilation of 19th Century humor in a personal library, which was charming. However, this book is a cheap xerox-copied book and is difficult to read because of the way it was printed. If anything, it should be priced at around $10, not $40. If none of the above matters, it still is a terrific insight into true wit which is not seen today.

Classified Waste Review

Classified Waste
Average Reviews:

This is an engaging, unique novel that combines tongue-in-cheek irreverence with what appears to be gritty realism regarding the war on terrorism and the intelligence community. The irreverence comes from Grace's suggestion that the CIA has found out that witchcraft works and is employing it against intelligence targets. The realism comes from Grace's obvious knowlege of the intelligence community, the bureaucratic back-biting and incompetence matched against sincere dedication to duty and personal self-sacrifice. I laughed, I cried. A very satisfying, quick read.

Sell It Fast: How to sell almost anything with effective low-cost classified ads
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
You may find this book helpful if you are selling your used car, appliances or furniture. The sample classified ads in this book are all based on listing features rather than benefits. If you are selling information products, for example, this book may have limited value for you.
Assuming that you've listed the most relevant features of the item you are selling and that this item is in demand at the time you're selling it, the main strategy suggested by the author for selling it FAST is to offer the item at a lowest price compared to the similar items advertised in the media where you are advertising. If you're selling an item that is in high demand, then you'd have greater liberty with pricing.
A lot of information in this book is common sense, as in:
* to target the most people, choose the most popular relevant newspaper (or whatever media you're using) to advertise
* if you are selling a seasonal item, advertise it at the beginning of the season
* to get the best price for your item, make sure the item looks the best it can - that it's spotlessly clean and polished
* to make you ad stand out, make it bold, highlight it, or put it in the box - if possible, include the picture of the item you're selling
About half of this book contains forms designed to help you put together the necessary information related to selling your item. The forms are mainly for composing ads for selling motor vehicles, appliances or furniture.
You will find lots of helpful tips for dealing with buyers, for buying used stuff that you may want to sell through your classifieds, how to get the most out of your classifieds for the lowest cost to you, when it may be better to sell your items through yard sales, rather than through classifieds, as well as some online and offline resources that can help you to find the information related to pricing your products, and reputable websites where you can place your classified ads online.

Despite an important subject -- the World's Heritage as defined by UNESCO -- this book is an embarrassing effort, full of typos, mistakes, and misattributions. it is self-published by the author, perhaps explaining some of the lack of editorial control. It also is out of date and despite the listed description does not contain the full UNESCO list so even in this regard is wrong. On the positive it does have some nice pictures of great places, but is sorely lacking in details. The text seems copied straight from the UN's public World Heritage website so skip this work and get your facts there for free or from one of the other better books on this subject.

The Book of Honor: Covert Lives and Classified Deaths at the CIA
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Ted Gups' efforts to pierce the secrecy of the Central Inteligence Agency has revealed the human side of covert operations . My father , John Merriman ,was assigned to the Congo in the summer of 1964 , to provide logistical assistance to an "Instant Air Force " comprised of T-28 , counter- insurgency aircraft and the Cuban exile pilots that crewed them . It is a difficult task to investigate the result of years of secrecy and denial , but Ted Gup has reaffirmed the courage and patriotism of not just the men and women whose names are inscribed in the Book of Honor , but also their families who had to sometimes live with a lie . His work has produced a written legacy to all the othewise nameless menbers of the CIA who made the ultimate sacrifice in unknown circumstances. My fathers story and those of all the others , can come out of the shadow of secrecy and into the light of American history .

Average Reviews:

This book works in conjunction with the The GREGG Shorthand Manual Simplified that you can also readily purchase. Unlike the Gregg Shorthand Dictionary Simplified a Dictionary of 30,000 Authoritative Gregg Shorthand Outlines this book takes thousands and thousands of the most used words and phrases and groups them by the lesson number in the Gregg Simplified Manual. In other words, once you complete any one specific lesson in the Manual, you now have enough information to properly spell out a whole new set of words and phrases, many of which are not specifically ever mentioned in the manual. By going to the corresponding chapter in this book, you have all of the new words at your disposal.
Again, if you are self-taught, this book is your homework assignment.
This book is not the dictionary. In other words, if you need to know how to spell any particular word or phrase, don't look inside this book. Instead, you need to reference the Gregg Shorthand Dictionary Simplified a Dictionary of 30,000 Authoritative Gregg Shorthand Outlines. Also, if you are learning another version of Gregg such as Anniversary or Diamond Jubilie, then this book will be of very little value to you.
Bottom Line: This is your homework!

JLA Classified: New Maps of Hell (Jla) Review

JLA Classified: New Maps of Hell (Jla)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
JLA Classified: New Maps of Hell is a Justice League of America comic by Warren Ellis and Guice Jackson. It features Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern and the Martian Manhunter. It also features some of the most stunning artwork I have ever found in a comic book.
Like I said, the artwork is amazing. There is a thoroughly realistic look to the human characters, and Lois in particular is striking: smoking hot facial expressions and exquisite depiction of her posture, even reclining on a couch. She is truly beautiful, and not in a smutty way. From the first few pages I was hooked on the treatment of Superman and Lois; more adult and serious - not dark per se, just "down to earth" (pun intended). However, Lois and Superman were the only characters I got this good feeling for, probably because none of the other characters had a "partner" of any sort to contrast with.
Secondly, I was pleased to find a decent level of science fiction in this comic. I readily admit that I am not well read in comics, so maybe this is a norm for super hero comics, but I don't think it is. Superman uses his super-vision to see his environment at a microscopic level; he discovers a weakness in the antagonist by analysing the wavelengths of visual signals. The Oracle at the Bat Cave uses a network of super-hero analysts to decode messages. Some of the sci-fi elements seemed natural to me, like Superman using his super vision to look at the microscopic world. Some elements seemed a bit dodgy, such as telepathic broadband! Does that mean there are some super heroes stuck on telepathic dial up??
A third element I enjoyed was the brief introduction to Lex Luthor as a hard hitting business man who had made himself president of America. I imagine he will be a serious antagonist in this role in future issues.
What I didn't enjoy so much was the overall story. It was too short. There wasn't enough of it to really suck me in, to involve me emotionally in what the characters were going through. Perhaps it is simply a reflection of the relative brevity of the comic. Maybe it needs to be "novel" length to get really serious with the story. Or perhaps Watchmen spoiled me; having read Watchmen recently, I secretly expect the same depth in every comic.
I thoroughly enjoyed this comic for the artwork and science fiction concepts used. I found the story deficient, but not so much that I regret buying the book. 4 out of 5.

This book is one of the BEST book I ever read. It is very imaginative. The story is about the time Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon. Almost everythig is true but the part the author talks about the crew seeing aliens on the moon. It is mostly true and very well written. Most of the characters are also real. I like this book very much because it is on my favorite subject (astronomy) and the fact that it is written on a famous achivement of all mankind. In my class book list this book is still topping my list. After reading this I am longing to read all of the "CLASSIFIED" series books so I am ordering them. The other titles of this classified series also sound nearly as interesting as this book. I highly recommend this book to all the people interested in this subject.
